A Warm and Friendly Welcome
Visitors are always treated as honored guests. We ask you to linger a little after services to allow us to get to know you better. We believe visitors are just friends we haven’t met yet. Find Ordinary People
Members of the Seymour Church of Christ come from various backgrounds. You will find people of all ages, occupations, professions, and educational experiences. We are not perfect, but we are forgiven. We have not arrived, but we are on the journey. We are not the only ones who love the Lord, but we do love Him and are committed to following Him completely. |
Simple, Devout Worship
Because we desire to follow the New Testament pattern for worship (Jn. 4:24), you will find that each Lord’s Day we pray (Acts 2:42), observe the Lord’s Supper (Acts 20:7; 1 Cor. 11:23-29), give to support the Lord’s work (1 Cor. 16:1-2), sing without the use of instrumental music (Eph. 5:29), and teach and preach the Word of God in love (Acts 2:42; Eph. 4:15) A Call back to Basics
We believe that modern churches have strayed a long way from what God intended the church to be. At a time like this, a step backward to God and His Word will anchor us and allow us to go forward. In matters of faith, we seek unity. In matters of opinion, we allow liberty. In all things, we want charity. |
