Minister
Tom Miller began preaching while a student at Ohio Valley College (now University) in Parkersburg, WV. Upon graduation in 1965, he moved to Elkins, WV to begin his fulltime ministry. Since that time, he has served churches in West Virginia, Ohio, and Tennessee.
He continued his education at Davis & Elkins College in Elkins, WV; Alabama Christian School of Religion (now Ambridge University) in Montgomery, AL; and the Institute for Church Leadership in Nashville, TN; and holds a BA degree in Bible and an MA degree in Church Leadership. In addition to preaching for local congregations, Tom has been a frequent speaker in Gospel Meetings, on Lectureship Programs, and in special Workshops. These workshops have been in the areas of Grief, Church Leadership, and Teacher Training. For twenty years, Tom was an instructor with the East Tennessee School of Preaching and Missions (now Southeast Institute of Biblical Studies) in Karns, TN, serving the last ten years as Dean of Academics. In September of 2013, Tom and his wife, Sierra, moved back to Tennessee from Ohio to begin their ministry with the Seymour Church of Christ. The Millers have five grown children and seven grandchildren. |
